The Potter’s House Church, a non-denominational, multicultural church founded in Dallas, Texas, in 1996, is led by Senior Pastor T.D. Jakes. The church operates as a non-profit organization with its principal campus in southern Dallas. The Potter’s House has more than 30,000 members on its rolls and is consistently ranked among the largest and most influential churches in the United States. The church is called “Megachurch” because of the size of its main campus building.

The church offers a full range of social services, including GED and literacy programs, AIDS outreach, homeless outreach, male mentoring, a debutante program, and one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing prison ministries. The church is largely African American and counts 45 percent men among its congregants—a higher percentage than is typical for an African American congregation.
